Move somewhere completely new and different, particularly a foreign country. It will change your perspective instantly and cause you to think about your life, your friends, your country and even your thoughts completely differently!

  6. CHANGE HOW YOU THINK. Understand that we always have a choice in how we respond and react to things that happen. It’s not usually what happens, it’s how we PERCEIVE what has happened that shapes our thinking. There will always be things in life that are beyond our control. If you can’t change something, then change the way you look at it.

  7. Chris:

Changing your point of view. I mean really changing your point of view. The comment about living healthy not wealthy is an example. If one were to change one’s point of view about wealth, one could measure wealth based upon their level of health instead of material possessions. Most of us have seen the email or the FaceBook post with the GI in the 120 degree heat wearing full combat load humping it all in the desert. Most of you think for a few minutes that life could be worse and how rough carrying that load must be, I remember carrying that load while also missing my family, worrying about getting blown up, and worrying about one of my Soldiers getting injured or killed in an attack because of something I over looked as their leader. Always be grateful for what you have and remember things could always be worse.
