  1. KK:

When I was a small child my mom would always play “Uptown Girl” by Billy Joel
“If I ever lose my faith in you” by Sting would always play as my alarm in the mornings on Coast 103.5

My mom would always sing to me a song that goes …. ‘I love you, a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck. A hug around the neck, a barrel and a heap, a barrel and a heap and you’re talking in your sleep about me. About me. Cause I love you, a bushel and a peck…etc.

    Mr Roboto

  6. Eljai:

Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey by Paul McCartney and Wings. When I was very young I would follow my sister and her friends around. We would go to one of their houses and play “Nightclub” (our 1970’s version of Karaoke) and this was the song I always sang.

  7. gina:

Susan- my dad used to sing that song to us! I always think of Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way. We had it on 8 track when I was very young. During my later teen years I would listen to the entire Rumors CD over and over as a kind of soundtrack to my relationship drama.

  8. Jim:

    I’m always chasing rainbows!

  9. I’m here without you, baby
But you’re still on my lonely mind
    I think about you, baby
And I dream about you all the time..

  10. Ria:

    I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
Think about it night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
    I believe I can soar…

I remember marching around the neighborhood singing that over and over until we were hoarse! (90s kid haha)

  11. Purple Rain, or Beat it

  12. Kaylee:

When I was little, my mom used to sing Carly Simon’s “Love of My Life.” And when she got to this part:
“I love Lucy and pumpernickel bread
The Statue Of Liberty and standing ovations
    And falling into bed…”
she would put my name in instead of “Lucy.”
