  1. [...] 30, 2010 Question 182 from Thought Questions, what is your favourite song, and [...]

  2. N:

There is it a lot, but it is Christmas carol called This little bybe of BRITTEN to like in that.

It is a song in celebration of birth of Christ. Because there is intensity, there is the person to be fierce, but I love it. The sound of the round is splendid!

At the age of a junior high student, I sang in particular by the time for chorus of the class. It is a song of Christmas, but begins to think that I become it in summer because I practiced a lot in midsummer.

  3. Chris:

“Courage”,I was deeply touched when I first heard it.That song taught me that courage determined so much.

  4. David:

    Chasing cars-Snow Patrol

  5. Tay:

Breakeven – The Script….i can never hit next when it comes up on shuffle.

  6. Court:

If Today Was Your Last Day. By Nickelback. It has an amazing messege

  7. A:

    “How I go” by Yellowcard

  8. Cass:

what you think about us — ashley gearing.

it’s my favorite currently because i wanna know his intentions. :) but i think i’ve got a good idea of them.

  9. Toady:

It’s a tie between “Avada Kedavra” by The Age of Rockets and “Big Bad World” by the Plain White T’s. “Avada Kedavra” almost perfectly characterizes that feeling of hopelessness when the world is so confusing that you can’t explain why you do or think. “Big Bad World” makes the point that you can make mistakes, and, while you shouldn’t necessarily not regret them, you should still accept them as the past, move on, and understand that they’ve helped you.

  10. Raine:

It’s a tie between two songs:
Savior by Rise Against. I swim to it, I listen to it when I’m mad, I listen to it when I need strength, or even when I just need some music. It gives me power, I can sprint to it randomly when running, I will get pumped for swim meets, or I will listen to it when I need something to make me stop crying.
And the other song is; I Swear This Time I Mean It, by Mayday Parade. The lyrics remind me of my last boyfriend and that he promised me everything, but it didn’t work. The lyrics show how vulnerable you can get, and it is a band that started my love of music. I will listen to this song anytime I need to let go.

  11. Toon:

    Tie between three songs:

    Dare you to move-Switchfoot.

    Better Days-Goo Goo Dolls.

Letters to GOD part II-Angels and Airwaves.

All of these songs deal with life and why we are here.

  12. Justin:

    1)Switchfoot-Dare you to move

Because we all went through many struggles in our life and this song reminds me that I have the courage to beat the struggles and move on with a better life I am choosing.

    2) One song glory- RENT

Because I believe finding my own glory would give me the motivation to live and pursue what I am supposed to do here. I do not care if my glory is long or short as long as I would make a difference.

  13. Annie:

I love the song Concrete Angel by Martina McBride. It’s a beautiful song to raise awareness for child abuse. It is about over coming the worst situations. I also love the song Better Than a Hallelujah by Amy Grant. It’s about how God accepts people no matter how broken they are.

  14. LOL:

I really like music by Brahms, especially his Hungarian dance no. 1.

  15. Anika:

@Raine & David: I love those songs to death.

    For me it’s:

    1) Anna Molly by Incubus: I love this song so dearly; it makes me feel so alive and it’s like everytime I press replay, it feels like I’m hearing it Goethe first time again. Plus it reminds me of my best friend who I love so much :)

    2) Yellow by Coldplay: This song always makes me emotional even when I’m feeling happy. When Chris Martin sings “Oh yeah your skin and bones; Turn into something beautiful; D’you know for you i bleed myself dry; For you i bleed myself dry.” I cry, because my grandmother, who has stomach cancer, really has just become “skin and bones”

    3) Worth Dying For by Rise Against: (This band is completely underrated!) This song is my pump up/nervous song. When I’m tense I listento thisjust to shake it all off. Just something about the lyrics and how it starts off with no intro makes it so nerve-wrackingly amazing. :)

  16. Jay:

Any sade song, so loving and peaceful. India arie, and the foo fighters song the pretender cuz I feel invincible with it.

  17. I would have to say By Your Side by Sade.

  18. Micki:

I have a lot of favorite tracks, but my favorite always changes by my mood, but if i have to pick one know it would be Narada Michael Walden, Meditation/The Sun is Dancing. This piece of art is the most magical music you could ever wake up to

If Today Was Your Last Day by Nickelback
This song has inspired and moved me so much. It’s truly beautiful and the lyrics have a lot of meaning to them.

  20. Annie:

The Middle by Jimmy Eat World. It reminds me that everything really will be alright
and Chasing cars by snow patrol!!

  21. Anne:

That changes frequently, because I’m a teenage girl.

  22. April:

I will Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie.
-This song will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s just smooth and beautiful. I can never get sick of this song. I feel like it holds a lot of meaning, especially with death. It makes me think of being with those you love forever, even after death. Beautiful.

Belle of the Boulevard by Dashboard Confessional.
-My guy told me about this song and the first time I listened to it I was hooked and it nearly made me cry. A song had never done that to me. I felt like I related to the song so much. My lover and I now consider it our song. He’ll always dry my eyes.

  23. Kay:

Brothers on a hotel bed by Death Cab For Cutie. I just love the lyrics, “and i have learned, that even landlocked lovers yearn, for the sea like navymen” about how even though you can still feel that need to be free even when youre in a long term relationship. Its always applied to me

  24. Ellen:

    Your Guardian Angel-Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
Its such a deep song that reminds you that there is someone out there that is willing to do anything to make sure that you dont do anything stupid in your life, that there is someone out there that is willing to stand by you in everything that you do and believe

Any maroon 5 song. Puts a feeling in my heart that`s like a burning passion

  29. Kacie:

Listen to Your Heart cover by the UK band Ascension.

It’s originally done by Roxette, but it’s been covered by this metal band. I love it because of his voice, the instrumental and the message – listen to your heart, or you might make a mistake.

  30. Evan:

    Gravity by Sara Bareilles.
This song speaks of a struggle-something everyone can relate to. And although I’ve listened to it almost a thousand times, every time I hear it, it gives me hope.

  31. Heather:

“I Still Think” by Darren Criss.

It gives me hope that the man of my dreams will come along someday.

It’s so simple, but has such a deep meaning. I may not beleive in that kind of love, but it gives me hope that maybe one day I can find my own exception.

  36. Erin:

At the moment, “Save You” by Simple Plan. It’s got so much feeling in it, and it completely describes the way I’m feeling right now – my uncle Jack has cancer, and it recently spread to his liver. The doctors are trying to shrink his tumor so they can operate, but… it might be too late and there’s nothing I can do. I want to help so much, but I’m so helpless in this situation.

  37. Sarah:

    Tie between 3:
    100 Years by John Ondrasik

    stop the dams – gorillaz

its such a melencholy yet inspiring song. very simple, but really gets to you… and describes how i feel quite well.

  39. Amanda:

My favorite song changes with my mood. I love way too much music to pick one song. I love all of Motion City Soundtrack’s songs. Their lyrics relate a lot to my life.

  40. Simultaneous:

    The Patient by Tool.
There are so many ways it can be interpreted. I can always pull a new meaning from it no matter what the situation is. It is relaxing and inspires me to push through the most difficult of times.

“Thank you for being such a friend to me, oh I pray a friend for life. Have I ever told you how much you mean to me, oh you’re everything to me. When I fall your underneath a thousand broken hearts, carried by athousand broken wings.”

    Before This Ship Goes Down
“I know you’re scared, but so am I. If we never leave then we’ll never try. You and I want to know what we were, hand in hand as unbreakable as stone. You and I we won’t get pulled under, when the waves crash down we’ll stay afloat. You and I want to know we’ll make it, selling out this god-forsaken town before this ship goes down.”

    When It Rains
“When it rains, you always find an escape. Just running away from all of the ones who love you. From everything, you made yourself a bed at the bottom of the blackest hole, and you sleep till May you’ll say that you don’t wanna see the sun anymore. Oh, how could you do it? I never saw it coming. No, I need the ending, so why can’t you stay just long enough to explain?”

stero love. it about how im feeling right now.

  44. Ris:

    Breathe Me -Sia

  47. Megan:

    It’s between these:
American Pie by Don McLean- If it weren’t for this song, my parents might not be together. It’s also pretty much the Anthem of my “nerd camp.” I always find myself on the verge of tears when I hear it because I remember the pure ecstasy that it embodies.

I Will Follow You into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie- It’s just such a sad, sweet song. The lyrics are so beautiful.

Touch Me from Spring Awakening- I can’t explain it, but it just gets to me every time I hear. The music is just so great.
