  1. Drew:

Technically, I’m out of ‘the’ high school, but I’m still in high school, so I don’t know. I hope I mature some. I’d like more patience, compassion and I’d love to lose this arrogance and this disrespect for authority.

  2. Alicia:

I have a sense of freedom never before known. College is your reward for surviving elementary through high school.

  3. Morgan:

I’m still in high school, but my last year. I feel so different from the person I was in Gr.9. My eyes are opened to the pain of reality, but also to the joy of freedom and discovering who I really am. It’s wonderful.

  4. Vincent:

I think this really depends on which college you’ve gone to. Personally, I think I have definitely gained a lot more respect for the ppl around me and started to understand everyone has their own battle (def not the ignorant prick i used to be). =]

  5. Nic:

Far more cynical and less trusting. Pain does that to people.

  6. Angria:

I did a complete 180 on so many levels. It’s good and bad in some regards…I find it difficult to hang out with my friends from high school now because they are friends to the person I was years ago. I know they have a hard time relating to the present day me.

  7. Eni:

In high school I was dreaming, now I’m living my dreams! 🙂

  8. winston:

    content

  9. Heather:

I am more open minded. I have more fun. I make friends easier. I have to admit that I always stayed away from the high school drama unless it directly involved me. Then I faced it head on. And I am a better person because of it.

  10. pnog:

    More confident and focused.

  11. Wesley:

A lot more experienced in all aspects of life.

  12. I am much less defensive, more conscious, and confident from inside 😉

I also got much older-looking and became less fun – which is one huge part of my life I am working on fixing…(-.-)

  13. Azrael Beck:

I stopped letting minor issues seem like the end of the world to me.

  14. Sandy:

College was a long time ago for me. I think I am finally coming to grips with the fact that if it is to be, it is up to me. I have to make my own life work. I think in college I was far more passive and accepting.

  15. Laura:

I feel more confident and I don’t care too much about people think about anymore

  16. Danielle:

I’m more mature, more open-minded, enjoy my life, and have realized to live for myself and not others.

  17. Ajax:

More humble for sure and appreciative,

  18. Sadies (From USA):

I’m still in High School so I’ll do how I am compared to Middle school, is that okay with everyone?
I’m way more social and outgoing and not afraid to try new things and be a lot more open and crazy. I’m a lot more confident. I take more risks and just enjoy life because I know all of us will never be together in this way ever again. There’s 1 3/4 years left and I wanna make it the best ever. I don’t worry about the past anymore. I focus on now, and the future.

  19. Krys:

I am still a very angry person, but my anger is more defined and directed instead of spread out. I used to be angry towards everyone, whether I knew them or not. I was pissed off at the world. I have now discovered why I’m angry and where it stems from, which has concentrated my anger but allowed the massive amount of kindness I have shine through the anger.

  20. daniela:

i know I can’t do everything alone, I forgive me more times, but basically I’m the same…

  21. jess:

While I am still in high school currently, I’ve changed a lot since I’ve begun. I’ve gone from closed-minded, cynical, and fat to much much thinner, free-spirited, open-minded, and wild. I love who I am now, and I can only hope to keep improving throughout the years. 🙂

  22. pit:

    high school – passionate, challenger, open minded, full of ideas, optimist, eager to change the world;

now – pesimist, lost, confused, burned out, depressed…

  23. Taylor:

People tell me i seem less angry . . . and that may be so but it seems like I’m just depressed all the time putting up a front of happiness. I certainly never thought about suicide in high school.

  24. Jenny:

    I’m me now.

  25. Compared to who I was in High School, I think that I am way different from then.

Using this question and picture (with credits), I talked about this in my blog: http://joknut.wordpress.com/2011/10/30/then-vs-now/

  26. Grac(ie):

I graduated high school in May and withdrew from college on Halloween. I think I’m becoming more outgoing and able to tell people what I need instead of letting things to completely insane.

  27. Rayton:

I have greater freedom now, I am much more responsible for what happens for my life and I am the one who has to take care of my personal, educational and social life more than ever.

  28. Alex:

I am more responsible, I stand by my opinions and am not afraid to speak them. I am no longer afraid to stand up for what I believe in. I am still very opinionated but I have learned to look at peoples lives through their shoes and see why their opinion is different than mine. I have learned to think philosophically and outside the box.
