A vampire grabbing my leg when I walked up the stairs…..

I had a nightmare that bugs and all sorts of creepy crawlies were crawling out of holes in my walls and going under my covers and all over me trying to suffocate me…I was 9ish??
but when I was 6 I had 2 fears
1. my parents would divorce…
2. one or both of my parents would die….

When I was really young (like 2-3 yrs old), I was terrified of being trapped in enclosed spaces, so doors closing always scared me. Somehow I grew out of it before preschool, though.

people dressed up in costumes at theme parks..i got attacked by a barn at barnhills..scarred me forever.

But the worst was I would have nightmares about my mom grounding me for life.
That was for sure the most terrifying thing I remember as a kid, being grounded FOREVER!

The dark…I had a nightlight all the way up until high school. Complete darkness still freaks me out a little bit.
That the water in the bathtub would change into the ocean…and I’d be lost at sea.

For my whole life I have been afraid of escalators and getting in trouble.
The getting in trouble one is the worst. I can’t stand to watch movies where the characters do something that might possibly get them in trouble. Maybe this is why I strongly dislike the entire Harry Potter series of books and movies.
Dracula coming to get me in the night or the monsters in the shadows. I spent five years sleeping under the covers! I feel better now I’ve turned 40.
