My parents got our dog Gretchen before I was born and she lived to be almost 16 years old. It’s been 7 years, but I still wish I didn’t see the fear in her eyes when we had to put her down. It was like she knew what was happening. It still makes me cry and I can’t ever tell anyone in my family about it because I don’t want them to feel how I feel about it.

  4. Angria:

A photo of 9/11 was shown on tv during one of the 10 year memorial shows. It was of a firefighter coming up the staircase of one of the towers while people were going down the stairs. You could just see the fear and innocence in the firefighter’s face.

He lived to be 90 and they were married for 62 years, but the tears made my grandma look like a little girl who knew she had lost her favorite toy forever. Made me cry more than the actual passing of my granddad did.
